The Cafe was involved in the Sustainable Villages project in the autumn, September 2025. We hald a logo competition for children to design a logo, the prize being sponsored by Nains Knits. 

This event is in connection to our funding that we received from The National Lottery community fund for upgrading our Charity shop sorting rooms and in connection to EGIN, 

These are some of the Activities that took place:

• Litter Picking with a local volunteer group of young people.
• Sustainable event with stalls showcasing sustainable ideas, crafts and resources.
• A Logo competition for children with a £10 prize for the best idea. 
• Funding for Planters to grow herbs around the village.
• Shirley’s ‘Sustainable Soups.
• Donations of Wild Flowers from Just Seed.
